Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Risha Shine started on the violin at the age of 10, and started to find her voice through songwriting at the age of 12. She never looked back, and was soon interested in composing as well, which is where she found her true expressive voice.
Through the early mentorship of her middle school and high school orchestra teacher, she knew she wanted to continue cultivating her musical talents beyond what she had already figured out on her own as a, primarily, self-taught musician.
She headed slightly south-west of her hometown suburb of Shaker Heights, Ohio and found her temporary home at Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music. Upon graduating, she remains based out of the southwest end of Northeast Ohio where she streams live concerts of original songs and covers from her home and continues to work on various personal composition projects until the next collaboration/commission.
